So Who Owns JDT Centre Back Nazri ?

Nazri Ahmad
PETALING JAYA, Nov 27 — Kelantan and Selangor have both announced the signing of Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) centre-back Nazri Ahmad (pic).
The 23-year-old was present when Kelantan FA advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa announced The Red Warriors’ line-up in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
However, Selangor FA deputy  president Datuk Mokhtar Ahmad had announced Nazri as part of the Selangor squad at a press conference a fortnight ago.
“He has already signed with us. Anyway, I will have a look at the contract papers again tomorrow and then take the matter to the FA of Malaysia (FAM) status committee,” said Mokhtar.
Meanwhile, Nazri insists he had yet to sign with The Red Giants but conceded he had verbally agreed to join them prior to penning a deal with Kelantan.
“I had discussions with Selangor and reached a verbal agreement only,” said Nazri.
“I don’t want to comment further and would leave it to Annuar to settle matters with Selangor.”
This is the second blow to Selangor after international Safee Sali pulled a number on Selangor despite reaching a verbal agreement and collecting an advance. JDT later announced they were retaining the 29-year-old striker.
This conflict certainly does not speak well for the professionalism of the players and yesterday’s case could well be the tip of the iceberg as more cases are expected to surface as the deadline for registration for local players is on December 17.
